CRPS can be a debilitating condition for many, yet there is currently no United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved treatment for the pain. Research continues to explore pain treatment options, but most patients with CRPS are unable to find effective pain relief with available treatments for pain associated with CRPS.

As a result, doctors in this trial want to learn more about a trial medication called neridronic acid when it is given to people with CRPS.

Neridronic acid has been studied in patients with CRPS before, and is approved in Italy for the treatment of CRPS. Doctors in this trial believe that it may provide effective pain relief for CRPS patients. The results of this trial will provide them with more information about the safety and effectiveness of neridronic acid for the treatment of pain associated with CRPS.
